Microchipping

Hannah is now qualified to microchip your precious pet  to keep them safe.  Hannah attended a course at Pet-Detect, one of the U.K.’s premier microchipping companies.

WHY CHIP?
The government is proposing a scheme that all dogs and eventually every cat shall be microchipped or tattooed.  Microchipping could help the heartache you may suffer if you lose your dog.  These chips are fully compliant with ISO regulations which cover both the U.K. and Europe.

WILL IT HURT?
Your dog should feel no more discomfort from microchipping than having a conventional injection.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The chip uses radio frequency technology and cannot be removed, fade or tampered with.  This will give peace of mind for the owner.  The chip is deposited in the fatty area between the shoulder blades.  These chips have the smallest amount of components than other brands.

HOW DOES THE MICROCHIP REUNITE WITH THE OWNER?
Petlog is the official UK database and is run by the Kennel Club.  They have a 24/7 telephone 0870 6066 751.  All of our chips are registered with Petlog.  A £2.00 lifelong registration fee of your dog is included in the microchipping fee.  Hannah will give you a registration form which you will need to register with Petlog.  On this form will be your unique microchip number.  If your dog is lost, or hopefully, not stolen, dog wardens, police, vets and rescue centres can scan your dog and reunite you with each other.  In the event that you haven’t yet been able to register your dog in time, Petlog have a back-tracking system where they can locate the purchaser of the chips and will, therefore, be able to reunite you both.  Petlog are part of EuroPetNet.  EuroPetNet connects several European databases, so even if you are on holiday in Europe and your dog goes missing, there is a good chance that you will be reunited
